The Xtreme Vent is the very best product of its type that a consumer can purchase to rid his/her RV of unpleasant holding tank odors.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once the cap is removed from the holding tank vent on an RV’s roof top, the Xtreme vent can be easily mounted (see installation instructions below) and it becomes a replacement for the cap. This revolutionary vent is designed with a true Venturi. It is designed so the larger opening always faces the direction of air movement. The air enters the vent and is then compressed as it is forced through a smaller opening, causing the air to speed up as it exits out the opposite side. This principle is the Venturi effect and it causes a low pressure area sucking the odors out of the holding tank. It is this same principle that makes an airplane fly. No more unwelcome odors in your RV!

It works whether you are driving or parked. While parked on a breezy day, you will see your vent moving gently back and forth as it catches the currents in the wind. Someone may ask you if you have a security camera on your roof. Just smile and nod. On a still day, we know there is always air movement. With a true Venturi, only one mile an hour air movement passing through the vent; speeds up to four miles an hour, sucking those odors out. Thus, you are covered 24/7.
What Our Customers have to say about Xtreme Vents...
"Shortly after purchasing our Carriage Cameo in July 2006, we had a black tank odor problem. We bought and used every odor eliminating product we could find without success.
Finally in December while on our way to Quartzsite, Arizona, we stopped in Texas to get a burger to eat in the RV for lunch and the odor was so bad that we couldn't even sit inside the RV to eat. At that point my wife said, "With this odor problem, this will be our last trip in this RV."
On January 25,2007 we attended the Quartzsite RV Show where we purchased an Xtreme Vent. I installed it the same afternoon and the next morning there was not even a hint of an odor. We kept checking for odor and there hasn't been any at all.
We have told everyone how great this product is.
We are full-timers and the Xtreme Vent has in effect saved our home!"
Thank you! John and Shirley Denne
WHY CAN I REDUCE OR STOP ADDING CHEMICALS?
With a constant flow of air, now flowing through your holding tanks, you have created an oxygen rich environment in your holding tanks that wasn’t there before. Oxygen is the food for the natural enzymes in the waste in your grey and black holding tanks. Enzymes cause the natural decomposition of the solids. In this new oxygen rich environment, those enzymes are multiplying rapidly and exponentially. Thus, you no longer have to pour expensive chemicals down the toilet in order to get the enzyme action. Why duplicate the process?
If you choose, you can continue to use chemicals, or cut back on the amount you add. Most users of the Xtreme Vent find it unnecessary to use chemicals. Keep in mind that this principle works no differently in sewage lagoons. They are not pouring gallons of chemicals into the sewage on a daily basis. They aerate the sewage to expose it to more oxygen, increasing the enzyme action. You never put chemicals into a compost pile. We turn compost piles frequently to aerate them. Compost bins are now built with large holes in the container so there is a lot of exposure to oxygen to help speed up the decomposition. Mother Nature has been in the decomposition business a lot longer than chemical companies have been around.
DO I HAVE A COLOR CHOICE?
The Xtreme Vent comes in a choice of colors, white or charcoal. Most people match up the vent with the color of equipment on their roof top.
What Our Customers have to say about Xtreme Vents...
"This is the best purchase we have made for our 2000 Winnebago. The ordor in the bathroom cabinet was awful--couldn't find anything to eliminate it. We were told the vent was in the wall behind the cabinet. I read about this product in one of our RV magazines. I ordered and installed it myself with my two left thumbs, so anyone can do it. We have no odor now and rarely use any chemicals."

WHY DO I NEED TWO VENTS?
Many times we get asked, “Why do I need two vents?” Most RV’ers put these vents on both the vent for the grey water holding tank/s and the black water tank. The odor from the grey water, as you may have experienced, can be just as bad or worse than that from the black water holding tank. It is a very acrid and unpleasant smell. It also has more places to find a way back into your RV through two or three sinks, the shower or your laundry. Also, going into the grey tank are a lot of food particles from the kitchen sink, hair from the shower and soap scum from both. Some RV’s have three holding tanks.
It is important that things be decomposed in the grey tank as well as the black tank so things don’t get caught up on sensors or build up in the tank. Because of the great decomposition when you use the Xtreme Vent, you get a really liquid dump. Thus, you greatly reduce the probability of any problems with your tanks and sensors. Actually, by putting a clear elbow on the end of your sewer hose, you will see that your dumps now look like a slurry. The sewage looks like it went through a macerator.
For full and adequate protection, we recommend the Xtreme Vent be put on all your holding tank vents.
HOW IS IT MADE?
The Xtreme Vent is made in the USA and has a powder-coated aluminum wing and a solid, powder-coated aluminum base. The base holds a stainless steel pin with a lubricant baked on at 600 degrees. The vent’s wing is attached to a block of Delrin, a product that is 250 times stronger than nylon and has graphite, a natural lubricant, as part of it. Graphite acts as a lubricant allowing the wing to turn as it rests on the stainless steel pin. This process gives you lifetime, self-lubrication and allows the vent to turn freely and catch the breezes effortlessly. The base of the vent has two pre-drilled holes and is screwed to the ABS pipe (which vents the tanks on your roof) with two stainless steel self-tapping screws.
What Our Customers have to say about Xtreme Vents...
"We purchased the Xtreme Vent about a year or so ago and my husband installed it himself on our 2005 Sea Breeze. We figure we have saved quite a bit on chemicals and we have not had any odor at all. We love this product!"

WHY IT'S THE BEST VENT ON THE MARKET...
When you purchase an Xtreme Vent, rest assured, you have purchased the very best and most effective vent on the market for ridding your RV of holding tank odors for the following reasons:
This vent is the only one with a true Venturi. Vents with only one opening work only when a considerable amount of air is passing over them causing some suction to pull the odors out of the tanks. You are not always driving, and it is not always a windy day. The RV 360 is an example of this type of vent.
This is the only vent that is made of powder-coated aluminum. Not Plastic!
It is the only vent that comes in a choice of colors – white or charcoal, designed to help you match your paint job.
It is the only vent that comes with a two year warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
It is the only vent on the market that is designed with lifetime self- lubrication so your vent will turn effortlessly in a breeze.

Randy Uses Xtreme Vents on his HOME with Great Results...
"We had a huge amount of gas smell coming from our sewer vents on a double wide manufactured home. It was to the point we couldn’t be down-wind from the house without a terrible smell disrupting whatever we would be doing. It went from that to almost no smell at all and we are able to be outside our home any time and not worry about where we can BBQ, visit, work, relax or what have you. We are quite pleased with the vents. Now we do have a fair amount of wind(average 8 to 10 mph) that moves the vents quite a bit and that may be a factor contributing to our success with the vents. I just removed the 3 foot extension from the sewer vents and installed your vents at about 6 inches above roof line and they seem to be working quite well there"
The following information is in addition to the Installation Instruction PDF that is available. It dramatically simplifies installations when there is not enough pipe to attach the vent.
SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION WHEN THERE IS
NOT ENOUGH PIPE EXPOSED.
When there is not enough pipe exposed to attach the Xtreme Vent to, there
are two alternatives. One is to cut the roof cap vent around the screw
ring, caulk the roof and then install the Vent. The other solution to the
problem is to use an internal coupling (found here) that will create an extension so you can connect the vent. Regular
plumbing connections that you can get at Home Depot, Lowes etc go on the
outside of the pipe, not the inside.
The challenge was if there wasn't enough exposed pipe to install the vent
you couldn't put on a sleeve to add another piece of ABS. Sometimes the pipe
is down inside the cap. Now with this new coupler (found here) we can solve the problem very easily WITHOUT cutting the roof top
vent cap off. This works in most cases. In some cases when you remove the
cap, the pipe is offset and you cannot slip this inside the rooftop ABS pipe
and will have to cut off the vent cap as discussed in the instruction sheet.
Don't forget to use Multi-Purpose Adhesive (not available at most Home
Depot Stores, but is available at Lowes and Ace Hardware) as regular
adhesive isn't recommended for use with PVC & ABS.

What Our Customers have to say about Xtreme Vents...
"I just wanted to let you know that your instructions for installing Xtreme
Vents were extremely helpful and the installation went off without a hitch.
The hardest part was getting up on the roof. I would have worked from the
side but it was too long of a reach so up on the roof I went. This is my
second set of Xtreme Vents. I left the oringinal set on the trailer I sold
to my son-in-law. The product is sooooo great that I wouldn't do without
them, so I bought a replacement set.
Thanks for a great product, Tim
