The LightCheck & Safety Plug is the best diagnostic tool you will find for your 5th wheel or trailer. The LightCheck allows one person to check out the lights on their towable unit without having to plug in their tow vehicle and having someone in the tow vehicle turning the signal lights on, hitting the brakes etc.
We all check our lights prior to a trip and the LightCheck makes it quick and easy. This allows you to check out your lights at your convenience in advance of a trip so you don’t end up looking for help on the day you are heading down the road on a trip. It can also save you a trip to an RV dealer to solve an electrical problem. It pays for itself if it saves you one service call.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Just plug your 7 pin cable into the LightCheck and if the light on the end of the LightCheck illuminates that tells you the battery on the towable is charged. The LightCheck uses the battery on the towable to check the lights.
If it doesn’t illuminate, look at the “Trouble Shooting” guide on the LightCheck for solutions. It will advise you to check the battery. Immediately we have gone to the diagnostic trouble shooting aspect of the LightCheck.
If the LightCheck light illuminates and starts flashing it will illuminate the clearance lights on the towable, flash the brake lights and signal lights. You can now walk around the unit and check to make sure everything is working.
Let’s say that you discover a problem like this one. All the trailer lights illuminate but the turn signals don’t flash and the amber light on the LightCheck doesn’t flash. That’s Point 2 in the Trouble Shooting guide. The guide states that the cause is a ground problem on the RV and the solution is to test and repair the wiring to the ground. The Trouble Shooting guide has identified the three possible things that could be the problem on the towable unit, identified the cause of the problem and offered the solution. Some problems you may be able to deal with yourself, while others may mean you need to schedule a service call to have the problem fixed.
This is an invaluable tool for anyone, especially the RVer who travels alone or whose companion is unable to assist in the connection process.

What Our Customers have to say about our LIGHTCHECK & SAFETY PLUG...
"The Lightcheck & Safety Plug was given to us by a friend who knew we loved
camping. It's concept seemed good, being able to check the trailer lights
without hooking up seemed good.
On our first trip out this year, we were
returning from our weekend away. We had been having troubles with our gas
gauge, and ran out of gas 15 miles from home! We called our local auto
rescue company to have gas delivered and put on our emergency lights. It
occurred to us that we could run down our battery that way and then my
husband remembered our gift.
We unhooked the power from the truck and
plugged in our Lightcheck & Safety Plug. It did exactly what it claimed to
do, including running
4-way emergency flashers. We waited an hour for our gas to come, and
didn't run our truck battery down. The trailer battery then just recharged
as we drove to the nearest gas station.
This is a great device that I think no RV camper should be without.
Thanks,
Doris Quinn

3rd Party Review Here
The Safety Plug aspect of the unit comes into play when a problem occurs and you have to leave the rig on the side of the road and go for help. Just plug the LightCheck into the towable and the clearance lights will illuminate and the brake lights will flash for 12 to 24 hours depending on the charge in the battery.
Let’s say you plug your trailer into the tow vehicle and no lights work on the trailer. Plug in the LightCheck and if the lights come on the problem has now been isolated to the tow vehicle. It immediately has eliminated the trailer wiring as the issue. That’s a huge knowledge advantage.
Also, if you must travel you want to have lights working, particularly if it’s night time. Just plug the LightCheck into the trailer and head down the road. Your signal lights won’t work, but the clearance lights will be operative and the brake lights will be flashing making you safe while traveling at night.

cannot foresee abandoning my trailer when I have towing
insurance.” Would not buy or recommend to a

LIGHTCHECK IS AN INVALUABLE TOOL. YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAD DOWN THE ROAD WITHOUT IT!

Light Check 2 - Tractor Safety Light
The regular LightCheck & Safety Plug requires that a battery be on the trailer in order for it to do its job. A lot of trailers don’t have a battery on board. LightCheck2 - Tractor Safety Light was designed with that situation in mind. This is particularly useful to trailers that are pulled by a tractor trailer unit.
LightCheck2 allows the electrical wiring to be checked on a trailer without a battery. Just plug the cigarette lighter plug into a service vehicle and the lights on the trailer will illuminate and the turn signals will flash. This gives you the opportunity to do a walk around and check to see if all the lights on the trailer are working properly.

This product is a factory second. It works just like the regular product but the visual appearance doesn't meet our standards. It may have a wrinkled label or the glueing process may not look as clean as we would like it. Rather than throw it away we are offering it at a deep discount.

What Our Customers have to say about LightCheck...
I was at a campground when I first got introduced to your LightCheck product. When I went to leave and plugged my trailer into the truck, nothing worked. No clearance lights, turn signals or brakes lights. I was scratching my head wondering what went wrong when a fellow RVer came over with the LightCheck and suggested I unplug from the truck and his unit would then diagnose the problem.
When we plugged in the LightCheck the trailer lights worked properly. This eliminated the trailer as being part of the problem and isolated it to the truck.
After checking we found a bad connection in the electrical plug of the truck. I wouldn't have had a clue as to where to begin if it hadn't been for your great product.
Needless to say, I now own my own LightCheck and are singing its praises to anyone that will listen. It saved me not only a lot of trouble but also a service call.
