It's April and yes I did miss Spring Training. The Cactus League is just down the road from the warehouse and every year I say to myself, I am going to get out to some baseball games this year. Then all of a sudden March is gone and I still didn't get there. We were really busy in March that's for sure. Launching the new LightCheck and Safety Plug product kept us jumping. Since we manufacture it ourselves there was a huge learning curve getting the manufacturing process figured out and streamlined. Many of you don't realize that we are manufacturers not just resellers. We assemble the Xtreme Vent, manufacture our awning pull straps and awning hangers, bottle the Bugs r' Off and assemble all the packaged product you see in our plant and warehouse in Surprise, AZ. The last few months has been really busy as a result of launching Bugs r' Off and the LightCheck products. We also design all our packaging for our product line as well, so it can keep you really hopping. The LightCheck product was featured in the RV Pro Magazine in April and the Bugs 'r Off will be featured in June. We also had to prepare for the Pomona RV & Travel Show which was held the first week of April which is one reason why the newsletter is late. We had a good time in Pomona. We met new friends and saw some old ones. We had an electrical issue and one of our new friends, Ringo, came into the booth and fixed it for me. There was another reason as well. We sold our house, moved out and became full timers! All of this took place in March which is another reason why I missed Spring Training. Oh well, as the Chicago Cubs say, there's always next year.

We're getting into the hot time of the year and I thought it would be a good idea to revisit our High Temperature Sticky Back Product. RVers have had a love affair with hook & loop type products for years and particularly sticky back. The problem that we all have had with traditional sticky back is it's allergic to the heat. When it gets hot the adhesive melts and you have a sticky gooey mess on your hands and whatever was being held in place by the sticky back is on the floor.
I was frustrated by this as anyone. I finally located some sticky back that won't melt off and have been using it now in my rig for the last three years. The melting point of the adhesive is 212 degrees. I live in Arizona and have used it in my rig since then and haven't had any problems with the adhesive melting and letting me down.
There are a number of rules you should know about using Sticky Back but the most important rule is the 24 Hour Rule. It is critical to wait 24 hours before introducing the two parts to each other. In other words, put it on the wall and on your picture, but don't hang the picture up for 24 hours. The adhesive needs a chance to set up properly. If you follow this rule you will be pleasantly surprised at the results. The other rules are always put the hook on what doesn't move, such as the wall and always do it horizontally not vertically. By doing it this way if you decide to move a picture from one wall or one room to the other, you can easily do so because the hook is always on the wall and everything is horizontal.
Here is an idea that is really popular. Create a spice rack on the inside of a cabinet door. It gets the spices out where you can see them and creates additional storage space. When you do this, put the sticky back loop on the bottle cap, not the bottle. When you run out of the spice just put the cap on the new bottle. It's a good idea to use some sandpaper on the cap to remove the shiny surface so the sticky back can get a decent grip.
When I do my seminars on the road I show over 100 slides showing how you can save space, time and aggravation using hook & loop and other products. We have created a CD of these ideas called Frustration Free RVing. It is over 75 minutes long with 12 video segments showing how to use these ideas in your rig.
Many of you will want to put some aluminum in your skylights to keep the heat down and this high temp sticky back will work great in that application. The picture shows a small skylight in the kitchen. In this case sticky back in each corner will work just fine.
In the large one in the shower I used it in the corners and in the middle. It won't melt off like it usually does. This also works well with sun shades that you put on the inside of the rig.

THIS MONTHS MONEY SAVING PROMOTION EXTENDED THRU APRIL
We have seen a huge increase in the number of bug splats on the windshield this month and as a result the orders for Bugs 'r Off is way up. If you haven't prepared for the bug season, you should jump on this special sale.

This year we introduced our new Bugs 'r Off product which gets the bugs off in a hurry and won't affect your wax or decals as it has NO ammonia or solvents in it. It works wonders on the front of the unit getting off bugs and road grime. It also works great on the inside of the windshield as well.
The Bugs 'r Off pre-mix comes in a 16 oz spray bottle and is priced at $9. The 8 oz concentrate makes 4 more 16 oz bottles. (A $36 value.) The two together would have a value of $45 but you can buy the two pack for $30. This breaks it down to $6 per 16 oz bottle.
Many of you have tried the fantastic Microfiber cloths that we have and come bak to the booth to get more of it. For those of you haven't tried them yet, now is the time to get some. Try them, you'll love them!
The Microfiber comes as a 3 pack - a scrubber, a duster and glass, chrome and mirror cloth and normally sells for $15. The guys will love this product for cleaning the windows, mirrors, chrome and especially the scrubber for cleaning the outside of the rig. The gals will love it inside the rig and in the house. Once you use it, you will keep coming back for more. There is no other Microfiber product on the market that can compare.
The promotion this month is if you buy both the Microfiber and the Bugs 'r Off, you get the 3 pack of Microfiber and the two pack of Bugs 'r Off for $40. Just click here to get to the order page.
