November means snow and frost in the
North and Thanksgiving travel to visit

November has arrived and with it, cold, frost and some snow. We had a family funeral to attend in Victoria, British Columbia and had to travel over the Rocky Mountains in early October. It was the coldest month of the year so far and it set some records. Remember I told you that last month was the hottest month on record. It went from hot to cold overnight! We traveled through snow, rain, sleet and almost hail going to Victoria. One of the great things is that we were able to pack up the rig in a couple of hours and hit the road. No airplane tickets to book, no hotels or car rentals to arrange or anything like that. Just lift the jacks, pull in the slides and go. Isn't it great to be an RVer? If you haven't been to British Columbia and Vancouver Island it's certainly worth the trip. You will be hearing a lot more about Vancouver soon. The 2010 Winter Olympics are being held in Vancouver.
The end of the year is coming quickly and so is Christmas. We are excited to announce a number of new products in this month's newsletter that you will find interesting for you, your rig and maybe for your RVing family and friends. Please check them out.
We are also excited to announce some new great products this month including, the new Round RV Security Light, LED Light and the Pop n' Lock replacement screen for the Fantastic Vent. Some of these items are on sale as well!
Happy Thanksgiving to all and save travel wherever your wheels take you.

| New ROUND RV Security Smart Light
with Motion Detector
The light is available in both black and white. This will allow those of us who have the round "scare" lights on the side of our RV to change them out and turn them into Motion Detector Lights.
You can put them anwhere on the rig, including the driver's side. I can't even begin to count the number of requests we have had for this light.
The new round and regular light products stay on for 60 seconds from the last detected motion.
Not available until December. On Pre-Sale Now
Regular $69.95 Pre-Order Price $59.95
Order today and save $$$
They are designed to fit right into the space that the old light occupied. They have also come up with a replacement scare light lens for those folks that have two lights on the same side but don't want to put in two Motion Detector Lights. The new lens has a different appearance than the one you have on the rig now. The lens are designed to throw the light down, where you need it, not into the neighbors window. You may want to purchase one of each so both lights have the same appearance.
NEW LED BULB by Starlights
LED bulbs in RV's are now becoming very popular. The challenge has been two things. Price and quality. Many of the lights on the market are inferior and just don't last. When you pay $20 or $25 for a bulb, they had better last. Most aren't performing as advertised. I know you will be happy with this new LED bulb as Starlights has built in the same quality that is in all of their products.
The Revolution 200 pictured above is 2.5 watts and gives off a constant 200 lumens and will replace the #1003 and #1156 bulbs that are currently either on the inside or outside of your RV. It is rated for 10,000 hours.
The regular #1003 incandescent starts off at 189 lumens, but quickly degrades to 75 lumens and only lasts 200 hours. You can run (10) of the LED bulbs for every (1) 1003 (in terms of power consumption).
The #1156 bulb starts off at 402 lumens and degrades to 160 and is rated at 600 hours. You can run 22 LED lights for every #1156 in your RV.
Benefits of the LED Bulb
-
The base of the LED bulb is adjustable so that no matter how a fixture's bayonet is clocked, the Revolution can be adjusted to shine the most possible amount of light.
-
They also give off significantly less heat than an incandescent bulb.
-
Uses exponentially less power
For those of you who do a lot of dry camping or boondocking this new LED light will save you so much drain on the batteries you will be amazed. At a recent show people were buying them in bulk quantities. Some people bought 10, 12, 14 and up. One person bought 25 bulbs!
The demand has been so high that we cannot get any more until Dec 15. As a result, we are putting the LED bulb on sale at a 20% discount. You can pre-order them today and we'll ship mid-December. Order today. Don't miss out on this sale.
Regularly priced at $25 Pre-sale for $20.
FUSE BOX by Starlights
For those of you who have two lights on one switch, Starlights has come up with a special fuse box that will allow you to connect two lights into one circuit. Starlights has been listening. You can even add other devices to the switchbox, including an alarm that would sound when the light came on, or a lamp would light. These devices aren't offered by Starlights but the option is there for those that are so inclined.
The RV Security Smart Light with Motion Detector has been a huge hit ever since it hit the market. Now they have released a NEW BLACK unit and the response has been tremendous. Many units have full paint jobs and RVers have been asking for a black unit. Now it's available in black or white. The light stays on for 60 seconds after the last motion is detected. The original light stayed on for 30 seconds.
The Motion Detector Light replaces your front door light and gives you two options. Turn the light switch on and the light comes on, just like before. Turn the switch off and on again and the light bcomes a motion detector light.
Benefits:
-
Easy to install
-
Provides security and will assist in reducing theft
-
Provides light where you want it, when you need it
-
TWO motion detectors , with a sensing range of 180 degrees
-
Battery sensor - shuts the light off if the battery level is low so it won't run the batteries flat
-
Flashing sensor makes it appear the rig has a security system
-
Available in black or white
-
Adjustable range from 10' to 25'
-
Thieves don't expect a rig to have a motion detector light
-
No fumbling for your keys or tripping over something

Fantastic Vent Screens: The easy way to clean them!
Cleaning the screens in the Fantastic Vent involves removing and reinstalling seven screws. This is not fun and can be dangerous if you have to stand on a chair or stool. Now there is a new Pop 'n Lock removable screen that makes removing the screen a snap. Just pop them out, clean and replace. Another stress reducing idea available from Coil n' Wrap. The screens come in white and off white.

Affinity Group Having Financial Challenges
You may not be aware but the majority of the industry is controlled by the Affinity Group. They own: Camping World, Highways, Motor Home Magazine, Trailer Life, Woodalls and more companies including insurance, extended warranty and road side service than I can even begin to list. Here is what has been reported in industry newsletters.
"The August collapse of Ventura based Affinity Bank appears to be just one blow in a string of blows for it's owner Stephen Adams whose highly leveraged business faces more than $746 million in debt payments in coming years."
The article goes on to say that the company has swung from a $6.3 million profit to a $125 million dollar loss. Standard & Poors has given their bonds a Junk rating.
For their sake and ours, let's hope they survive these difficult times.
