  The XTREME VENT® is the only product of its kind that  will permanently rid a n RV of unpleasant holding tank odors.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The XTREME VENT® is designed to use the Venturi Principal. It easily rotates so that the larger opening always faces the direction of air movement. The air enters the vent and is compressed causing the air to speed up as it exits out the opposite side creating a Venturi effect.  

What is the Venturi Effect?

The Venturi effect is fairly common, notice how a garden hose nozzle increases the water pressure. The fuel injectors on diesel engines use it as well. The Venturi effect can cause a pressure differential, essentially an air stream which will sucking the odors out of the holding tank. As the holding tank equalizes fresh air is drawn in.

WHY CAN I REDUCE OR STOP ADDING CHEMICALS?

 With a constant flow of air through the holding tanks, an oxygen rich environment is created, which wasn’t there before. Oxygen supports the healthy production of the natural enzymes in your grey and black holding tanks. These enzymes cause the natural decomposition of the solid waste. This is the same process used in sewage lagoons. They aerate the sewage to exposing it to more oxygen thus, increasing the enzyme action. Composting uses enzyme action as well, we turn compost piles frequently to aerate them speeding the breakdown of the waste.

In this new oxygen rich environment, in your holding tanks those enzymes multiply exponentially.  So you no longer need to pour expensive chemicals down the toilet in order to get the enzyme action to work. Why duplicate the process?

If you choose, you can continue to use chemicals, just cut back on the amount you add. Most users of the Xtreme Vent find it unnecessary to use chemicals but that is your choice.
